| Data quality | The dataset is prepared and updated based on February Census of government schools in Victoria. This dataset includes historical data from 2001 census, and each year since, and which was correct at the time of the data release and kept as it is, whilst data from the latest census is added to the dataset with the relevant census year. Previously published dataset file can be requested with provided reason and purpose. Where schools have varying class sizes the following definition is used to identify the class size to be reported in the February School Census: Count the class size as that which exists for the majority of the time and which includes the time spent teaching literacy and numeracy and which the school community relates to as a class grouping. |
