Northfield Station (Gaseous data) - 2020
This data set contains validated gaseous pollution data for the year 2020 for the North eastern Adelaide region in monthly files. Data was collected as 1 hour averages. Information provided is Ozone values expressed in parts per million (ppm), Nitrogen oxides values expressed in parts per million (ppm), Sulfur dioxide values expressed in parts per million (ppm). Time expressed as Time Ending Averages.
Negative values occur from time to time and are a result of the extremely low concentration levels and the noise of the instrument. Sampling methods, standards and uncertainties: Ozone (O3) Ultraviolet Absorbance (UVA), AS3580.6.1 – 1993, U95= ±0.005 ppm @ 0.100 ppm.
Nitrogen oxides (NO, NO2, NOx) Chemiluminescence, AS3580.5.1 – 1993, U95= ±0.050 ppm @ 0.400 ppm.
Sulfur dioxide (SO2) Ultraviolet Fluorescence (UVF), AS3580.4.1 – 1990, U95= ±0.011 ppm @ 0.200 ppm.
Carbon monoxide (CO) Gas Phase Correlation (GPC), AS3850.7.1 – 1992, U95= ±1.46 ppm @ 40 ppm.

For comparison to National Environment Protection (Ambient Air Quality) Measure (NEPM) standards, any average calculated from this data is only valid if it is based on at least 75% of the expected samples in the averaging period. This applies to all averaging periods.
