Western bioregion strategic offset corridors
The Western Bioregions Strategic Offset Investment Corridors comprise a network of hubs and corridors extending across the Gulf Plains, Channel Country, Northwest Highlands and Mitchell Grass Downs bioregions, that were selected as particularly suitable locations for hosting land-based environmental offsets. The selection took into account of a range of biodiversity values of state significance within them, and potential to enhance landscape-scale connectivity between biodiversity hubs. The provision of offset services within these priority areas is by voluntary involvement of landholders.
