Courageous Cruise 016 Biological Data overview, 1977

This record describes the datasets obtained on Courageous Cruise 016. The data were obtained from waters off the southeast and west coasts of Tasmania, in Bass Strait and New South Wales coast in January 1977. Data were obtained from acoustic and trawl surveys of Jack mackerel (Trachurus declivis) and other demersal and pelagic fish including pilchards, redbait, small sharks, whiptail and hake. Length, sex, numbers, biomass and target signal strength were determined. Data on gonad size and state were also obtained.
