IMOS SOOP Sea Surface Temperature data collected on the Merchant Vessel RTM Wakmatha

This dataset contains Sea Surface Temperature (SST) underway observations collected on trips of a merchant vessel RTM Wakmatha (callsign 9V2768). Bulk SST is measured by SBE48 hull contact sensor. The sensor is located 8-9 m when vessel is laden (Gladstone to Weipa) and 3-4 m when unloaded (Weipa to Gladstone). Observed data are 1-minute median SST values and are retrieved from the vessel once an hour and quality controlled at the Bureau of Meteorology.
