Resourcing Australia's Prosperity initiative opens doors to precompetitive geoscience

Geoscience Australia has begun work on the first 10 year workplan for the Resourcing Australia’s Prosperity initiative. The initiative is a 35-year, $3.4 billion precompetitive geoscience investment to accelerate the discovery and development of critical minerals, strategic materials and other resources, supporting Australia’s net zero transition and the responsible management of all resources. Dr Louisa James-Pearson’s talk will outline how the initiative’s stakeholder engagement and communications teams are engaging across government, industry, academia and service providers to articulate the benefits of a prosperous, competitive and sustainable future supported by Resourcing Australia’s Prosperity initiative. The presentation will deliver a high-level overview of the initiative’s initial 10-year roadmap and will provide a practical example of science communication through a recent Resourcing Australia’s Prosperity webinar.

Presented at the ASC2025 Conference.
