Temporary emissions licences (TEL)

A temporary emissions licence (TEL) temporarily allows the release of a contaminant into the environment, in response to an unforeseen event such as a flood or bushfire.

The public register includes TELs associated with environmental authorities or transitional environmental programs, as required under section 540(1) of the Environmental Protection Act 1994.

For further information relating to TELs, please refer to temporary emissions licences on the Business Queensland website.
